LADIES LOVE PROJECT PRESENTS:
SPRING 2013 POP-UP SHOP!
((( JUMP INTO SPRING with LOVE! )))
Shopping Event Showcases Brazen Art, Avant-Garde Fashion & Design at the Houston Street Center!
NEW YORK, NY April 20, 2013 — On Saturday, April 13th, 2013, the LADIES LOVE PROJECT presents it’s sixth POP-UP SHOP at Houston Street Center from 12pm – 8pm. Taking place in the superfresh outdoor space of the infamous Houston Street Center - at the apex of LES museums, storefronts, schools and busy sidewalks - get ready to shed those winter layers and come out to enjoy the sunshine at LLP’s spring art market. We promise it’s where you’ll want to be to enjoy, taste, buy and try the dopest 2013 items from your fav (or soon-to-be-fav) artists from all over the planet!
The LLP PROJECT, a brainchild of renowned street artist TOOFLY, sound sensation Patty Dukes & Reph of the Circa 95’ duo and creative non-profit aficionado A.Mari, highlights some of NYC’s most creative underground artists and designers. Our one-day-only pop-up event style truly boasts an intimate, yet extraordinary colorful market shopping experience – designed to familiarize consumers, media and tastemakers with artists currently celebrating prominence.
LLP is ecstatic that this spring’s outdoor shop will be poppin’ with vibrant stylings from Junkprints, Vanilla Medallions, live nail art by Lady Fancy Nails, and a host of others! All artists will be exhibiting funky, limited edition, handcrafted pieces just in time for the warm weather season!
To satisfy all taste buds, cupcake treats will be served by Jenny Kinns Cupcakes, savory plates will cater hot & spicy food fans while sweet ice cream flavors will also be ready for you to scoop to keep cool all day long!
Music across all genres will be handled by Circa ‘95’s Reph, and DJ Polarity. A live performance showcase by Circa 95 and friends, while Samantha Morales will be on deck with Photobooth event photography.
Our LLP spring event venue, Houston Street Center, is a community arts and culture event space, located at 273 Bowery, plays host to the eclectic mix of talent. LLP is honored to be partnering with this NYC cultural cornerstone, as the shop prides itself in exposing both new and established artists who are traditionally under-represented in the cities big chain stores, galleries and museums. Art on canvas, handmade goods, jewelry, t-shirts, graffiti, live music—you name it—- the LADIES LOVE PROJECT SPRING POP-UP SHOP doesn’t get any more New York than this!
“Having the LADIES LOVE PROJECT POP-UP SHOP in the heart of the lower east side is a perfect fit,” says Patty Dukes and Rephstar of Circa 95’. “All of the vendors have styles that honor old New York, yet each demonstrates a unique progression with great, must-have niche items.”
“It’s going to be an energetic art-ery, a bustling bodega under the sun for us this spring — the busy streets around the venue will surely make for a block party atmosphere for attendees of all ages, every shop vendor and our team!” - A.Mari
